Since March, I’ve been fascinated and appalled by the developing COVID-19 “crisis,” the response by governments, and the coverage provided by those stalwarts in the Fourth Estate. I’ve spent many hours looking into this issue, and will share my findings in a series of posts. I’m quite skeptical of the official narrative, which will be apparent, sometimes to point where I’ll be quite sarcastic. However, I don’t want anyone to think I don’t realize that people are actually dying. I do have empathy for those who have lost loved ones or have themselves struggled through a nightmarish respiratory illness. So, we may be dealing with something new (SARS-CoV-2? 5G-induced neurasthenia?) which can seriously threaten people’s health. I get that. Yet, the response – apparently coordinated at a global level – appears so radical compared to any threat, and so inconsistent both with a genuine desire to promote health and the basic values we claim to hold dear, that I can’t help but conclude that there is another agenda in play.

Anyhow, in my first installment I’ll give my general impression of the “pandemic” and the official response to it. To show where I’m coming from and to attenuate the oppressive atmosphere of fear, I’ll provide some comforting context and, especially, contrast the situation in the U.S. with that in the non-lockdown countries. From there, I have no firm plans, only to explore critically and in some detail a number of facets of the COVID-19 issue.
